Swedish drone company Airolit is taking the next step in its growth journey by establishing operations in Finland. With strong demand and the ambition to become the leading provider of Nordic UAV capability, Airolit has appointed Christoffer Segercrantz as Country Manager for Finland and the Baltics.
“Our base is in Sweden, and we already have sales throughout the Nordics. Expanding in Finland is a natural next step in Airolit’s growth journey. Our goal is to contribute to a more unified Nordic defence by providing robust and locally developed UAV solutions,” says Claes Kjölhede, CEO of Airolit.
Based in the Helsinki area, Christoffer Segercrantz brings over 30 years of experience from the defence and security sectors, with a background in fire and rescue services, police, military, and public sector roles. As Country Manager, he will establish Airolit’s presence in the Finnish market and drive growth across the Baltics.
“Airolit combines technical expertise with a strong focus on tomorrow’s defence needs. I see a solid foundation to build on and look forward to contributing my experience to the continued growth journey,” says Christoffer Segercrantz, Country Manager for Finland and the Baltics.
The establishment in Finland is part of Airolit’s ambition to become the go-to partner for Nordic defence forces. The company’s UAV systems are developed and manufactured in Sweden and designed to meet extreme weather conditions, complex missions, and strict information security requirements.
“The cooperation between Sweden and Finland has never been more important. There is a strong drive to use common systems in the build-up of future Nordic defence capabilities, and we aim to play a natural role in that,” says Claes Kjölhede.
